May 12 (10am - 4pm EST) & May 13 (10am - 5:30pm EST). Those registering after May 8th might not receive materials before training. First day of training is exclusively for those becoming TLC Team Trainers, and includes training preparation, materials and licensing. If you’re passionate about our program, have attended a full-training, Reading with TLC seminar or webinar, and have experience implementing the program, get trained as a TLC Team Trainer. As a TLC Team Trainer, you will be prepared and licensed to train colleagues at your school district or organization, as long as you do not charge an extra fee for your presentations. Once you gain experience as a Team Trainer, you may apply to be a TLC National Trainer. This would qualify you to train anyone, charging fees for your presentations, and to possibly be hired by Reading with TLC to present seminars and conference sessions for us! (Those who do not currently work in a school system or for a professional organization should contact Reading with TLC about options for practicing presentations.) Several weeks in advance of the webinar, we will send you a contract that you need to review and submit before the webinar. Upon receipt of your signed contract, we will send out your TLC Trainers’ Pack, which includes all relevant materials and documents, including a handout, PowerPoint packet, a set of Lively Letters Boxed Cards, a Lively Letters Character Songs CD, and all files necessary for presenting several of our seminars. The Training of the TLC Trainer webinar consists of three days of training. On the first day, you will learn the basics of presenting the Reading with TLC seminars, getting all the behind-the-scenes details that make an effective and dynamic training possible. On the second day (or 2 half days), you will watch a live Reading with TLC training, this time with the eyes of a presenter. Following this training, we will offer a brief webinar, taking 1 to 1.5 hours to answer all questions and go over any areas you need clarifications on. All attending this training will receive a certificate of attendance for the 11.5 hour training. SLPs may choose, instead, to receive a 5 hour certificate of attendance and .65 ASHA CEUs for the second 6.5 hour day or 6.5 ASHA CMHs (Certificate Maintenance Hours) if selecting to option of the 2 half days. Please contact us with any questions you have about becoming a trainer. You can reach us at 781-812-0398 or at 781-331-7412. You can also email us at email@example.com.
